Patiently waiting for Fuller House Season 3 to be released on Netflix? The hit show is currently taping in Los Angeles California, and I know because I have the insider deets from Teri Groves– Makeup Artist to the stars of Fuller House! Jodie Sweetin, Juan Pablo and this season Adam Hagenbunch are her clients.
It is rare to find a show that my daughter and I both can watch and enjoy. When I do find such a show, I make sure to track down the makeup artist online, and gift them some Dream Organics Rose Water… I love that I can give some appreciation to the artists who help create the art that I love so much. It’s also cool to know Dream Organics products are being used on set.
After reaching out to Teri Groves, known online as @TeriMakeup, as expected, I discovered she is an amazing artist responsible for creating countless stunning celebrity makeup looks. Teri’s super glam style makeup looks for Jodie Sweetin’s photo shoots, and on set for the character Stephanie Tanner, are some of the most beautiful and fun I have seen in 2017. Every photo shoot is a work of art with Teri painting the face.
Recently she created looks for Jodie Sweetin at the Golden Globes, Nickelodeon’s #KidChoiceAwards and The People’s Choice Awards. Fuller House won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Premium Comedy and the Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Family TV Show!

Fuller house Season 3 Interview with Makeup Artist Teri Groves
Would you say you Love Full and Fuller House!?! Dying to know when Fuller House Season 3 will be released on Netflix? You are not alone!!!An eager audience awaits, as the cast is busy creating the next season right now! I had the chance to interview a celebrity makeup artists for the show. Here is my detailed interview about life on set of Fuller House, one of my favorite shows on TV!
Q: Teri, have you always wanted to be a makeup artist? When did you know that makeup artistry was what you wanted to do?
A: I actually wanted to be an astronaut or an archaeologist when I was growing up because I loved outer space. Before I was a makeup artist I was a model and so I had to wear makeup to model. Modeling led to makeup artistry. I love that every day I get to wake up and make people look and feel beautiful!
Q: How did you meet Jodie Sweetin?
A: At one of Jeff Franklin’s spectacular birthday parties! We were neighbors! Jeff Franklin, the creator of Full House is the most generous, down to earth, really genuine and giving man. I used to go to his parties and I met Jodie there. Jodie is so sweet and asked me to be her makeup artist on the show.
After speaking with Teri for just a short while, it was clear to me that she was part of something much more than just the makeup crew of a TV Show. Seemed like she was part of the Full Fuller House family! She told me the cast really love each other and always keep in contact.
My own curiosity added to my 10 year old daughter’s curiosity about life on the set prompted these next questions for Teri Groves.
Q: How do you come up with the makeup looks for Jodie Sweetin, Juan Pablo and Adam Hagenbunch? I just love the super glam, seemingly perfect makeup and hair in every scene for Jodie and the rest of the girls! And Juan Pablo is always glowing! OMG! Did you just say that you’re doing Adam’s makeup too! He’s so dreamy!
A: Basically it depends on what she’s doing. At home, at a party…When we style her for events her makeup depends on where she is going and what she is wearing. If it’s an interview, red carpet, or Indian going away party (like season one). As for the men, Juan Pablo and Adam have great skin, so I just give them a healthy glow. I am very fortunate to work with two such amazing sexy, handsome men. Such a hard job. LOL.
Q: Any advice for aspiring makeup artists?
A: You never know who could be directing your next film, so be polite and nice to everyone. Also, take opportunities even if they don’y pay well. An experience I had, was a very low budget film that a few girls asked me to do makeup on, I couldn’t let them do their film with no makeup artist, so I said yes. Turns out the director was Kenny Rogers’ producer and called me to work on Kenny Rogers‘ next show. And I met Dixie Carter and traveled with both of them on different jobs. Through Dixie, I joined the union.
So you never know who you’ll meet and that person who seems unorganized might be your next boss lol. My first job as a makeup artist was for a muscle magazine and bikini calendar. I was working with Robert Reiff and Andy Pearlman who trusted me and let me get some tear sheets and credits for my portfolio. And I still work with these wonderful photographers.
Q: Can you tell me any fun stories from your life on set?
A: Elias the character Max on the show, knows everyone’s lines!!! He’s amazing! And he hits his mark every time. Jodie besides being beautiful, can sing and dance too, she’s the complete package. Also, Juan Pablo, who plays Fernando, Kimmy’s love interest in the show, was in Jesus in the show AD the Bible continues. He is an amazing singer and dancer too. It’s just such a fun show to work on. The crew is all nice, and the cast really do love each other.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: I hope I’m still alive, God willing lol.. and still working on Fuller House!
